Map 1914
Below is the O.S. Map for Newbiggin Village 1910. I have underlined some of the more notable features, and changes from the 1891 map. Such as: Most notable change is the Reservoir on Wassett Fell, providing a piped water supply to the villages of Newbiggin and Thoralby, built in 1906. Still two Public Houses; The Street Head Inn and The Bishopdale Heifer; and the School at Cross Lanes.
