H.M.I. Report , 1902

Below is a transcript from The Cross Lanes School Return, 1902, of H.M.I. Report, courtesy of  North Yorkshire County Record Office :

Following this unsatisfactory report (see below) on July 23, 1902 Mr. John Wm. Hill resigned the post of Head Master and Mr James Hill was duly appointed by the School Managers.

The headteacher, Mr James Hill was assisted by Miss Annie Rider, there were 64 children on roll, a Mrs J. Harrison, not on the staff pay roll, or listed as staff taught the Infants.
