The whole of the Township of Newbiggin. Parliamentary Papers "Abstract and Answers and Returns for the Act of the Census for the 11th year of George IV part 2", England and Wales Enumeratation. Sunday 29th May, 1831, pp.774 and 775.
In 1831, the Township of Newbiggin was 1,360 acres in size. It contained 122 inhabitants, of whom 57 were male and 65 were female. There were 27 houses, of which 26 were occupied and 1 was unoccupied. The main occupation was Agriculture, 15 families and 8 in Other occupations and 4 families in Trade, Manufacturing or Handicraft.
