The whole of the Township of Bishopdale, 774. Parliamentary Papers "Abstract and Answers and Returns for the Act of the Census for the 11th year of George IV part 2", England and Wales Enumeration. Sunday 29th May, 1831, p.774 and 775.
In 1831, the Township of Bishopdale was 5,960 acres in size. It contained 108 inhabitants, of whom 56 were male and 52 were female. There were 16 houses, of which 16 were occupied and none were unoccupied. The main occupation was Agriculture, 17 families and 1 family involved in Other occupations, and no families involved in Trades etc.
