In 1831, the Township of Thoralby was 3,100 acres in size. It contained 272 inhabitants, of whom 135 were male and137 were female. There were 62 houses, of which 59 were occupied and 3 were unoccupied. The main occupations were Agriculture 21 families and Other occupations, also 21 there were 17 families involved in Trades etc.
