Parliamentary Papers "Abstract and Answers and Returns for the Act for the Census 55th year of the late George 111, England and Wales Enumeration. Monday 28th May, 1821. The whole of the Township of Bishopdale, p.399.
In 1821, the Township of Bishopdale contained 95 inhabitants, of whom 44 were male and 51 were female. There were 16 houses, of which 15 were occupied and 1 was unoccupied. The main occupation was in Agriculture 16 families, Other occupations there was 1 family and Trades etc. there were no families.
