The whole of the Township of Bishopdale, 10th March 1801, p.424. Parliamentary Papers "Abstract and Answers and Returns for the Act for the Census 41st yr of George 111" part 1, England and Wales, Enumeration.
In 1801, the Township of Bishopdale contained 84 inhabitants, of whom 39 were male and 45 were female. There were 16 houses, of which 15 were occupied and 1 was unoccupied. The main occupation was in Agriculture 51 people, Other occupations was 22 people and Trades etc. was 8 people.
